But the phones are sold as IP Office phones. When you look around on the Web and even on Avaya documents they show them connecting to IPO 406 using a media server.
What happen to the idea of "Open Standard"? If the phone supports H.323, then why would it not work?
Is there any plans to bring a phone with color and touch screen to the IP Office platform? We have this asked all the time by customers.
on the doc you provided on page 4
Avaya 4630SW IP Telephone (Avaya Communication Manager only)
2.0.2
Open standard works if you have a third party license you can use a different h.323 phone then Avaya but that doesn't mean that you can use any avaya phone or ANY other H.323 phone.
would be nice but just doesn't work
