Does anybody know if it is possible to use Avaya 4600 IP Phones wiith Cisco Call Manager/Communication Manager?

If so, how do we go about it? Is there some configuration on the Call Manager and the phone that needs to take place?

Cheers

Stu

Are those phones SIP capable? What software version of call manager?

The phones are SIP capable and we are using Call Manager 6.0

Ok so assuming you have enough DLU's you can add them as SIP phones to the call manager. Most of the configuration takes place on the phone itself, the ccm portion is fairly simple.
I have never added an AVAYA SIP phone so I can't help you there.
You will need to figure out from AVAYA how to configure the phone part. The 6.X admin guide details how to add a third party SIP phone.
Let me know if you can't find the admin guide and i'll send you a link.

Many thanks for the advice.

Could you post a link to the admin guide. That would be really appreciated!
