Can I take a PageMaker file into Acrobat and convert into a PDF and designate certain areas on the page as fields that can be filled in by typing text or clicking a box by anybody with the Acrobat Reader? Can I insert drop down menus into form?
I don't own Acrobat but will purchase it if it can do the above.
Thanks,
We've converted almost all our forms to pdf "fill in the blank" forms. We have used drop down boxes as well. We've used both PageMaker and Word for the forms. I have also converted Quark and PowerPoint files with good success.
I highly recommend Acrobat 4.0. The form feature is very helpful to create the fields. Just one caution: remember to save the source document (PM or Word). If you update the form, you need to start from the original rather than updating the form, unless it's a character of two. For a sampling, go to <A HREF=" TARGET="_new">
Good luck.
Is it possible to hook up a PDF form to accept variable information like data from a flat file?
I have Acrobat Exchange 4.0
