I'm looking to build a 2616 DATA TN (16-31) to use it as the MARP set for a number of DN's.
I swear I have done this in the past but I've forgotten the hows & whys..
Pbx Rls 5.0

I try to...
NEW > 2616 > TN 4-0-1-16 and get:
SCH 3938 "TN types for voice and data ports of a Digital set do not match"

I try...
NEW > 2008 > TN 4-0-1-16 and it allows me to build the TN.

I know that I have to set a couple of CLS's like FLXA & VCE along the way but my question is this:

[ul]
[li]Can I, in fact, use a DATA TN like this for MARP functions (Like I said, I swear I've done this before)?[/li]
[li]If so, can it only but done using 2008 and not 2616 ?[/li]
[/ul]

Advice appreciated.

Yes you can absolutely use a data TN to control MARP.

The data TN has to be the same set type as the corresponding voice TN.
Voice Unit 0 -> Data Unit 16
Voice Unit 1 -> Data Unit 17
Voice Unit 2 -> Data Unit 18
and so on.
