Hi,

I am attempting to use CDP to allow users in my site with the opt 61c to dial our other office (not an M1) by dialling part of the full number (only the extension). In more detail:

Sydney office has numbers that are in the range of 02 8374 xxxx. I'd like our staff in Melbourne to be able to dial just the last 4 digits of the full number (same as staff within the Sydney office). Then, as the Sydney DID range doesn't conflict with my DID range, I'd like the 61c to ADD the 0,028374 to the start (digit insertion). As all the extensions in Sydney start with a '7' and none of mine start with '7', I assume I just need to do some works in LD 86 and 87.

I've had a poke around and set up the DMI already (told it to insert '0028374'). I just need some help with the RLB in LD 86. I'm particularly stuck on whereabouts I tell the 61c to accept any dialled numbers starting with '7' and to use the DMI to add the starting digits. A very brief step by step guide would be great.

As always, thanks in advance.

I would love to help you but if you do a search for " How to configure NACD/CDP " there is alot of info that will probably help. Basically you have to have the Coordinated Dialing Plan software and if you do then you must build a digit manipulation table first. Then build new RLB that has the routes you wish to route the calls out, at the DMI prompt put the number of the digit manipulation table you just built which would include the complete digits you would need to dial if dialing minus the 9 at the beginning and the last 4 numbers. Then you would build a Distant Steering Code which would be the leading 1 or so digits in the 4 digits you want to route Example: if you were dialing 3205 I would probably put 3 if I had no other 3plus extensions or 32 if I did. You would then have to tell it how many numbers to expect in your case I think you said 4. It will then ask you for the RLI which is the Route List Block or RLB you previously built. Repost if all of this does not help.

the following will work as long as you have cdpsetup in
REQ = ESN in LD86

>ld 87
REQ new
CUST 0
FEAT cdp
TYPE dsc
DSC 7
FLEN 4
DSP
RRPA
RLI xx

>ld 86
REQ new
CUST 0
FEAT rlb
RLI xxxx
ENTR 0
LTER
ROUT xxx
TOD
VNS
CNV
EXP
FRL
DMI xyz = your dmi
FCI
etc etc

Easy as can be! Thanks heaps for that. It's all working.
