I am using Solaris 2.5.1 and 2.6 systems that have zcat program in /usr/bin. I have some gzcat compressed files to open but no gzcat or gunzip in /usr/bin. What can I do to get these files uncompressed with least amount of effort.

Thanks,
Mitch

The uncompress does not work. Reply with <name> not compressed file.

if you have gzip I think you'll find there's an option to make it work just like zcat Mike
