Hi All,

We have a Meridian option 11 system. one particular user has the following issue - when she picks up her phone to make a call, instead of getting a dial tone, she ends up listening to a conference call in one of our meeting rooms. Until the conference call finishes she cannot use her phone. Below is a printout of her extension:

Would appreciate any advice/pointers you can provide

Many thanks

we have 7 meeting rooms with their own DNs (TNs)

Can you give us a print of the one she is forced to listen in on?

Has anyone jumpered her phone onto the meeting phone or split her pair over 2 TNs (causes very strange things when that happens). If she rings a display phone what number shows?

Does it happen every time or only when someone is one the conf phone already?

Does the conf phone ever show the same problem?

if they are both 500 sets im guessing its as easy as re-jumpering I bet its double punched with the conference room T.N.

Hello All,

Thanks for the updates. printed out the DNB and its shows. Havent seen the "TYPE MIX" before am wondering if remove the 500 set, if this will cure the issue ?

MIX simply means you have an analog and a digital phone using the same DN. I assume either the conference phone is this TN or this is one of the people who regularly attends the conference calls, Hence you are hearing the conference every time you pick up the 500 set. All you need to do if this is the case is to change one of the DN's.

Do a Traceon the TN
LD 80
.TRAC 33 0 0 13 or
.TRAC 0 XXXX (DN) would point you to whats happening

LD 32
.DISU 33 0 0 13 Disconnect
.ENLU 33 0 0 13 Re-Enable

Cheers!!

thanks for the TRAC info. User reported that her line was tied up on a conference call so I ran the TRAC cmd and here is the following output:

OVL000
>LD 80
TRA000
.TRAC 0 2435

ACTIVE TN 033 0 00 13

ORIG TN 033 0 00 13 MARP CUST 0 DN 2435 L500
TERM TN 1 31 IDA RMBR 110 30 OUTGOING TRUNK CALL
DIAL DN 901392229800
MAIN_PM ESTD
TALKSLOT ORIG 3 TERM 3
EES_DATA:
NONE
QUEU NONE
CALL ID 0 1576

NON ACTIVE TN 037 0 00 06 MARP

Once the call finished I ran the DISU and then the ENLU cmds as well.

Sounds more like that User needs to be shown how to clear down properly on the Analogue set

Cheers!!
