I have 2 e-mail servers. Recently I moved some mailboxes from server1 to server2. Users on server 2 cannot send messages to users on server1 (but can send to the internet.) Error message is: This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY.YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE.
Delivery to the following recipients has been delayed.

A text file is attached with the following:(I made the message generic by taking out our domain and server names)
Reporting-MTA: dns;mailserver.domain.local
Final-Recipient: rfc822;user@maildomain.com
Action: delayed
Status: 4.4.7
Will-Retry-Until: Tue, 1 Feb 2005 15:41:47 -0500
X-Display-Name: mail user

Do you have them in different routing groups? If so, do you have a routing group connector created that the server 2 can send mail over? These are just 2 things I thought of off the top of my head. Give us more detail (routing groups, different sites etc.)

Hope this helps.

J

There is just one site and no routing groups...

Sorry--I have one routing group with 3 connectors:

2 E-mail servers and 2 Mail Relay servers
smtp sink on E-mail Server2
server2 master
server1 member

connector 1 Default SMTP Virtual Server Server1 to smarthost Server2
connector 2 SMTP sink to Mail Relay server 1 cost1
connector 3 SMTP sink to Mail Relay server 2 cost2

This should be a no brainer--One site--One routing group.
