Hi,

Does anyone know of a way to allow users to view their own mailbox size using outlook 97.

Note: This is Outlook 98 - Q196986

To see the amount of space your mailbox uses, follow these steps:

1. In the Folder List, right-click "Outlook Today - [Mailbox - Your Name]" and
then click "Properties for 'Mailbox - Your Name.'"

2. On the General tab, click Folder Size.

Outlook begins calculating the size of each folder. When the calculation is
complete, the total size in kilobytes of all folders and subfolders is
displayed, along with a list of each individual folder and subfolder and the
size of each. The total size in kilobytes is the size of your mailbox on your
Microsoft Exchange Server.

The size of Personal Folders, if any, is determined in the same manner. In the
Folder List, right-click Personal Folders, click "Properties for 'Personal
Folders,'" and click Folder Size on the General tab.

Regards,

Outlook Today - [Mailbox - Your Name]" is nowhere to be found...

I had a scout about using the info above, but still no joy :(

Any other idea's. Thanks for the info btw, might be useful.

You need to Select

View - Folder List

first, from the menus - Then the name is displayed at the top.

I will clarify.

I can see my folder list, but i couldn't see the option listed in the article extract above.

When i view my folder properties the only option tabs I get are:
General
Permissions
Syncronization

In the general tab as directed above, it says click folder size. This option isn't here. I believe this option is only available in outlook 2000 and above. Hence why im lost trying to find a way to do it in 97.

The version I am working with is Outlook 98 and Folder size is displayed - Hence my first comment!
