We have a few problems with our exchange server at the moment which strike us as slightly bizarre.

We are running NT4.0 (sp4) with exchange 5.5 (SP6)

As i said there are a fewthings happening that simply shouldnt be.
When users send an email to one of the distribution lists e.g. group 1, for some reason staff in our accounts department who also have their own group (group 2) are also recieving this email.

A member of staff who sends out meeting requests via outlook 2003 (has also had previous versions of outlook where this also happened) to say joe bloggs also finds that john doe recieves these meeting requests too.
Not only have we found this happen on another user today too, but we also found that when that same member of staff emailed the entire office earlier today he recieved a read reciept back from himself but only himself (read reciepts were not selected in the first place).

we have obviously checked delegate access (non set up for any of these people and exchange permissions which are as should be as well. we spoke to another company that provides software support for our exchange server and at the moment they are stumped as are we.

Any idea's would be greatly appreciated.

did you check if there is any "alternate email address" configured for any of these users or Distribution Lists?
