IS-IT--Management
Hi all, I hope someone can help.
I recently had an exchange site that consisted of an Exchange 5.5 SP3 and an Exchange 2000 SP3 under the same site. Recently one of our admins, removed the Exchange 5.5 site and users still using the Exchange 5.5 CORP structure no longer can see the site/users. However, if I use the Exchange 2000 tool.. you can see the actual site with only the Exchange 2000 users etc...
The question is how do i get the users from the Windows 2000 domain/Exchange 2000 back to a 5.5 environment. I have setup ADC etc orginally to replicate them from the 5.5 to Windows 2000. I then moved the mailboxes accross., but they decomissioned the old 5.5 server. The problem is other users on different 5.5 sites cant see the users anymore.... I setup an ADC connector from the Windows 2000 back to another 5.5 server(which will be the last to be removed) however i keep getting event ID 8290 unable to write to the container even though the container has full access rights.
Thanks
Steve.
