hello,

I am perplexed and am wondering if you can help me.

I am using CR 8.5 developer, SQL2000, GoldMine 6.7, Windows 2003 standard server.

I am migrating some old reports to this new setup. I have created my ODBC connection as I did for the old server (File DSN - named pipes) and in the RDC on my workstation it works just fine. It works fine in GoldMine while logged in as me. However on the same workstation logged in as someone else I get the error of incorrect login parameters follwed by error 534 error detected by database dll.

(well that error I sometimes get and the report runs anyway) I know that it is some sort of setting in Windows 2003 and I am clueless as to what it can be, I am not that familiar with that OS platform. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Thanks for any help

Hi,
Is the ODBC DSN defined as a SYSTEM,USER or FILE one on the Goldmine machine?

You might want to look at the Trust Connection flag. Most of my reports, when I move to a new/different folder, I have to re-edit this to 0 (or False). You can check it under Database >> Set Database Location, then Properties for your connection. It might also be labeled as Use Default DSN Properties, etc.

Just another thing to check, this drove me nuts until I found it.
