Hi there,

I have a client who sometimes logs on to different PCs around the office but still wants to access his outlook email and network drive shares. All of the PCs in the office are on a single domain.

Is this possible or would I have to set up a roaming profile for him.

Kind Regards

well if you want to avoid a roaming profile then a batch file will deal with the shares. never tried it but i guess a batch file would also do the outlook config - larger brains might know how.

put the batch file somewhere he can find it and off he goes

alternatively go overkill, get him a laptop, wireless access throughout office etc etc etc

Laters, phat, headshape

Thank you for the reply.

How would I go about creating the batch file, and what would the content of the file be?

Kind Regards

Is this XP pro?
He could log into his own PC using remote desktop...

net use * \\server\share /persistent:yes/no /u:domain\userid
net use * \\server\etc /persistent:yes/no
net use * \\server\etc /persistent:yes/no

you can do this as many as you want depending on how many share your user would have access to.. do this on notepad and save as with ext. .bat you either put this on user profile start up folder.. outlook i havent done it yet.

GOOD LUCK
