For the life of me, I cannot get my extension to display the DID assigned to me whenever I call external parties.

In the Main ARS, I have it configured so that if someone calls my mobile, I see their extension (9045551234SiE), so I know our carrier (TimeWarner) allows us to send calling party info.

But, if I try and configure the short codes for my extension, I cannot get my DID to display. Because I've been pecking at this problem when I've had the time, I have tried almost everything I've found in this forum.
I've tried:
-variations of the *DCP entries to see if the system is ignoring my user short codes
-Si9045551212 and SA9045551212
-different Line Group IDs
-Dial, Dial3k
-screaming at it
-swearing at it

Halp!

?
Dial
.s9045551212
Line group (line group used in normal ars form)

Then I found out they were feeding them.

As in the us you may possibly need

SC 9N;
TN N
Feature Dial

also if there is a more explicit System SC for specific numbers (Such as long distance codes)that will be a closer match & so be used in prefrence unless also duplicated in user short codes.

Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

Use Monitor and uncheck all options, then only check all options in ISDN tab and make a call.

That will show you if you are sending it properly and the provider just overrides the DID's with the account main phone number. If you see that it does not send the right number then you can play with the shortcode
I usually only use
9N
dial3k1
Ns1231234123
Line ID

without the i and it works every time but it doesn't harm when the i is in there so it should work

The *DCP I never change, I usually put in one ARS for DID users that is sent out when the incoming call route is setup and one ARS for all other users to send the main number, then a User shortcode to decide to use one or the other ARS

Thanks folks - I finally got it working by deleting everything in the User Short Codes window, and adding back the *DCP first, and then this:

FIRST:
*DCP
40000000,0,1,1,0
Dial
0

SECOND:
9N;
dial
Ns5551212 (our telco prepends the area code)
Line ID 1 (not the main ARS)

Thanks for letting us know, hopefully I remember that when someone else has a similar problem.
Thanks also for the star and have one back for the resolution

So, of course there's a quirk regarding using Twinning to my mobile.

On the main ARS, I had things configured so that when someone internal dials my extension, I'd see what extension it was (Nerd alert: I added everyone's extension to their info already in my address book, so I get a name to go with the extension)

I'm getting external calling party ID info, but when someone in the office calls me, I get my DID instead of their extension number.

Do I now need to add additional specific rules/short codes, as in the bottom line, or is there a some option I need to select/deselect?

9N; / dial / Ns5551212 / Line ID 1 (not the main ARS)
XXX / dial / NsE / 1

create a new dialout code without the caller ID manipulation and use that instead of the usual 9

I thought this (below) would do it, but internal calls are still Twinning to my mobile with my DID number instead. @#$%!

They will, with twinning the call is initiated as though from your phone :)

MUWAHAHAHAHA! Did it!

I can, once again, get the extension of inside/intercom calls passed (versus the main #), AND I can throw out my DID to external parties.

Thanks, again, everyone!
