User self update active directory 1

Hi All,
I would like for my users to be able to update active directory with their phone number and room number. I want them to do this themselves. Is there a way to do this without buying additional software?

You could write a simple application allowing users to update only those attributes, like VBScript or HTA, and delegate this task to users in Active Directory. Then, distribute this application to your users in the form of a link or shortcut in their start menu or desktop.

You could also try rDirectory from

Its web based and there's a free "community edition" that should allow users to update their own details.
