user SA does not exist in sysuser table...

I am trying to prove the connection between a Oracle query tool and sql server 6.5 but I've a problem. When I try to execute a query, the follow message appear: "user SA does not exist in sysusers table". But DSN exist for this administrator user.
Why the tool don't see SA?, may be the DSN is created in a wrong way.

Actually, there are many programs using the user SA without problems.
Do you know what I can do for checking the possible problems? Sorry for my questions, but I am a new Sql Server user.

Pablo, I'm more of a SQLS 7.0 guy, and I've never tried establishing a connection from an Oracle tool (I thought they required the SQL*Net options, rather than ODBC?).

I guess I'd first try going to Windows' Control Panel/ODBC-32 and creating a User DSN that includes everything: username, password, database, server, etc. and see if, when you click Verify Connection, see if connects successfully.
