User profiles

Does anyone know of a way to recover documents from the "My Documents" directory once that user profile has been deleted?

If the users profile every went into the Recycle Bin then try

If anyone calls and says "I know a little something about computers" just tell them to reformat it.

Use any one of the hundreds of Unerase or Data Recovery tools out there. Good luck.

and stop using the machine until you're ready to try recovery - to minimise chance of filestore being reused & therefore overwritten (and recovery would be better done with drive slaved in another machine).

Thanks. The problem was the time frame between the deletion of the profile and the discovery the doc.'s had been lost. We were able to use an undelete program to recover the critical documents.
