I currently upgraded client systems for a school. These new systems are for instructors and not for the students.(keep in mind that instructors and students have different profiles). I am also keeping the old systems on the network. The problem i am having is whenever a student logs onto the old systems, their student profiles does not go into effect. Meaning, if i have the RUN command disabled in their profiles and log onto the old systems, the run command is still accessible even though the RUN command is disabled in their profiles. This seems to be happening on all the old systems. I have deleted all the local profiles on the systems, but am still having the issue with the RUN command being accessible. What seems to be the issue here?

Is the client DNS pointing to the new system or the old?

What happens if you creat a "dummy" profile on the old machine and then load it on the new machine and also the other way around?.. And were the original profiles created on 2000 or NT and then upgraded?
