Hi,

I have several folders that are under a share.
I want these top level folders to be accessed by all users so that they can add files, delete files and modify files within these folders.
However I want to stop the users from being able to delete the folders containing the files they work with.
Can anyone help me???

I think you need to deny delete permissions on the folders only - in properties, click advanced, unclick inherit from parent..., click copy, then Add your own special permissions, delete those you don't want, modify others. You'll need to think through how you want to apply permissions downwards as well.

sluice is correct, make sure you think this through before you use the deny option. Also, document what you've done so you can undo it. The deny option is always the last way to go. Good luck.
