user not receiving external calls

what should I look for in regard to a 500 set user not receiving any external calls. He is receiving internal calls ok so it would appear that his phone is functioning correctly. His number is with-in the DDI range. I have outed his TN and copied another but this has not resolved the issue.

if you haven't found it yet,

ld 96
enl msgi x on the dch of your inbound did. dial the did from an external line and see if the provider is send those digits

I'm with you on this one JP. Can you dial the numbers on either side of this DN?? ie: 4079 and 4081. Are you sure there in your DID range??????

i checked for the never used class mark udi..rdi.. had to look it up but that prompt can block a station from rec did calls.. found that a fwe years ago, a tech and used rdi instead of building a idc table.. rdi blocks all did's.. took a while i added the same mcr to my set and it worked from my set with marp, would not ring on the 2616 that had the trouble... the guy had added rdi to class of non-did sets? but when we added did's to about 40 sets, 30 plus would not ring.. sorta a monday morning gone bad, we tested all the sets internal but didn't catch the problem until the cust tested it..

This is the result of the prt idc at this site. The DDI range should start at 4400 and go up to 4620, although I have been told that it has been added to over the years.

the user ext I am having problems with is 4587. the bulk of all the DDI extensions that are currently working ok are not in the list when I prt the idc. Why would that be?
and to be honest I don't reconize the number 851468.

when the switch see's the 485 it's doing the translation.. seems that it would block all ddi's 4850 to 4859.. i've got some 10 number groups blocked that are used internally as three digit access code, pagers are using the 115 group.. all 10,000 numbers in the 434 are did..

Try changing CFTA to CFTD i CLS and let me know what happens....

Problem has mysteriously resolved itself while testing it this morning. The BT exchange is only sending the last 4 digits so no IDC table was involved. Not sure how this is now working but glad it is. Thanks for all the help especially John Poole.
