Hello all,

I have one user on my domain that gets locked out after one failed logon attempt. He is using an XP PC, has no other problems if he gets his password correct the first time, and we have a group policy set to lock out users after 5 failed attempts. No one else has this issue. I checked the Event Viewer and can not find any Errors or Warnings. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks, Rich

Let's look at this from the client side. Have the user try to log on from another machine and see if you see the same behavior.

Sniper,

Good call. The user tried logging into another PC with an incorrect PW 3 times and it did not lock him out. I did check his Local Security Policy > Account Lockout Policy > Lockout Threshold is set for 5 invalid attempts. Is there another setting that could be locking him out after one invalid logon?

Thanks!
