User is reporting that the Kitchen line at a site is ringing as a fax line.

I'm having an issue where at one of my kind of far off sites has an analog phone in their kitchen ringing as a fax tone when you call to it. I'm kind of new to the telephony world and would like some assistance if possible so maybe I wouldn't need to go out there if I can fix it remotely. I've looked all over and can't find a fix and I have never heard of this issue before.

Maybe call forward to fax maschine is activ .
Have you check the extension ?

It's not forwarding at all to any number. It works every which way except when you try to call to it with an outside line.

What type of system do you have?. Is it a CS1K or Meridian 1, Norstar or BCM etc?.

Have someone onsite call the phone internally. If that works as it should do what telebub says.
