Hi sorry. We are on MM 5.2 using MAS/MSS only.
does that info help?

Hi
I have the same problem.
The customer don't want hear the e-mail.
I don't now where I can switch off.

The system is MM5.2 with SP7 integrated in a Exchange 2007.
Thanks for any help.

FonTaz - those are probably Notify Me messages. By default it uses the mailbox's SMTP address to send these messages to unless you change it. Check the mailbox using IMAP with Outlook to see what those messages might be.

lienzi - There is no option to disable that because you are using MM for Exchange. If you don't want to hear the "email" prompt then either use MM for MSS or create a separate mailbox just for voicemail purposes (but could still get email).

Hi I don't think that is the trick to turn this off. what is happening is the user logs into their mailbox and it will say you have 2 voice messages and 2 email messages. (normally would would not hear the 2 email message part) if you press 2 to listen to the email messages it will say the users name and say message will be approx 1 second to review. end of message. that is the message. I am sure the user turned it on somewhere but I don't know where. I have had this before and am not really a fan of deleting and reprogramming the mailbox.
any help out there? thanks

As Texeric said it is more than likely notify me send a short test message to the user.

You can setup an imap email account in outlook and see what they are. Or you could access them using Webclient to look at them. You would also want to make sure that the notifyMe is turned off or setup to send to a user other then the email address of the mailbox.

if you are telling us that every time this user receives a VM that they also receives a email then it must be the notifyMe but the only way to tel 100% is to access the mailbox with an email client to look at the email.

You may also want to look at the SMTP out log to see if the to and the from are the same.
