A user in our call center (UCCX) with a 7945 phone used to be able to just lift the handset to answer calls. Now she has to also press the line button that shows the incoming call. How would I change it back to answer when the handset is lifted? UCCX version is 8.5.1.11003-32 Thanks.

In the phone configuration page, towards the bottom is the Product Specific Configuration Layout, in there is Auto Line Select, usually this is disabled, this might be the cause ...... Compare it to one that is working.

Thanks for the help and sorry for the delay. It turned out to be hardware, new phone fixed it. Took forever to get a replacement.

Auto Line Select has to do with a multi-line instrument programmed with multiple lines that all ring at the same phone. With ALS enabled you simply lift the handset to be connected to the first ringing line, regardless of its position on the phone. If multiple lines are ringing you will be connected to the line that began ringing first. In the event of glare (2 or more lines that commence ringing at exactly the same time) the selection priority is top-down.

In Mitel terms the feature was known as "Ring Line Select"

Glad to hear you were able to get this working. Everytime this happens with the phones I support a reset always fixes it.
