One of our users gets disconnected and has to log in again every morning at 9:57. He doesn't like this, neither do I, and I can't imagine why it happens.

The network is Active Directory/Windows 2003 Server SE SP2; the user's PC runs Win XP, fully patched. Symantec Client Security is installed.

Any ideas?

He gets disconnected from the server. Nothing seems to be happening on the physical level -- there's nothing wrong with the NIC, cable, switch, etc. -- he just suddenly has to log in again.

Is it possible you have login hours configured for this particular user?

Thanks to Baddos, Cyperprog, and itsp1965 -- the answers are no, no, and no. No terminal server is enabled, no custodian is involved (the disconnections happen in the morning when the user is literally sitting at his desk using his computer), and there are no limits on his login hours.

In the Event Viewer I notice a lot of login/logout activity from Kerberos services, which I enabled over a year ago. Could this be part of the mix?

Is this problem inherrent to the user or the machine. If you try him on a different machine does he still get the same problem. That way you can rule out hardware being an issue and concentrate your search on software.
