User Functions and VBA

Hi!

I'm trying to develop a complicated spreadsheet which can easily be audited to ensure it's giving the right answers. Many formulas used in it are well documented. Is it possible to create user-defined functions. THen call these using VBA from within a userform or similar?

Any ideas would be really useful

Hi,

Any function returns a single value and, as such, can be used in VBA, userforms or on spreadsheets just like any other built-in function.

erm but can you populate a user function with data from a userform, so it can be calculated automatically?

sure, often the value selected by a combobox or entered in a textbox is used
