I have a front-end Access database and a back-end access database.

In the front-end database, I have the following groups.
Admins (built-in)

rights to Table, Query and Form as shown below.
Table Object
Read Design, Modify Design, Read Data, Update Data,
Insert Data, Delete Data
Query Object
Read Design, Modify Design, Read Data, Update Data,
Insert Data, Delete Data
Form
Open/Run

In the back-end database, I have the following groups.
The back-end only contains tables so therefore, I only assigned Table objects permissions to the group "Update Data Users". The user cainsc

When I logged in as user cainsc, it said "You do not have the necessary permissions to access the back-end.mdb object. Have your system administrator or the person
who created this object establish the appropriate permissions for you."

Notice that the user cainsc belongs to the group
"Update Data Users". This group have access to Read Design, Modify Design, Read Data, Update Data, Insert Data, Delete Data of tables and forms on the front-end.

Hi Maupiti,

Does the group "Update Data Users" have Open/Run permission to the 'Database' Object Type on the BackEnd?

Bob.

Hi Bob44TheCat. Thank you very much for answering my question. I solved the problem before you gave me the answer, and your answer is correct. Sometime I wish the answer could come sooner, which would save me alot of time.
