Hi there,

On an AIX 4.3.3, user tried to run at command and got the following error message.

at: 0481-108 You are not authorized to use the at command.

I included user in the at.allow file. (there is no at.deny file) I got the same error. I also tried an empty at.deny file with no at.allow file. That still did not work. What I am missing?

Thanks for help.
Jason

I wonder if it might be ownership and permission of the empty at.deny file you tried? at.deny is owned by bin:cron and has permissions of 640.

Thanks for the reply. Checked permission and ownership. Everything is OK. But at still not work.

If you delete at.allow anyone has permision to run it.

I tried without at.allow file. Got the same error message.

create an empty at.deny file and delete the at.allow file. With neither present only root will have access.

This is what I did. Only have a empty at.deny file. But still did not work.
