Here is the deal:

I've accidentatly deleted the user main account (NT 4.0). For some reason now I can't get to the users mailbox(was not deteled) after I recreated the user account. I've checked the permissions and everything on the Exchange server 5.5 and it looks fine.

Any ideas guys?

Thanks

M

You have to reassign the NT account for that mailbox. You could also log in as Admin via a Outlook client.

I did, reassing the new domain account to the mailbox and still I get an error: "you do not have permission to open this mailbox"

any other ideas?

Have you waited 2 hours? Permissions changes can take that long to take effect in a default 5.5 installation.

It's true, stopping and restarting the IS does indeed flush the permissions cache, but it also disconnects all your users. Far better to alter the registry parameter for the cache timer (as per the KB article) if the 2 hours is too long for you.
