Win2000 machine on Novell network. Normally the users can log on just fine, but once in a while... Windows does not recognize the user name and creates a new profile.
Example:
Joe logs on 1st time. Sets his preferences.
Logs on & off at this workstation daily for weeks & his preferences are kept in place. One day, for reasons unknown, he logs on & Windows creates a new profile for him. There is actually a new folder called Joe.000 EVEN THOUGH the original folder still exists.
One user with this problem one time could be a hiccup, but we have had it happen to 8 or 9 different users over the past 2 months. I see no pattern.
Does anyone have any ideas what causes this & how to prevent?
Thanks.
