I'm not sure about a doorphone for the Nortel Venture but do know that Viking makes a generic doorphone that rings a CO Line port on any telephone system. When the doorphone button is depressed it rings that CO port on the telephone system and once answered, you can dialog to the doorphone through the telephone system. I have connected these to the Norstar system and if works great as does the Norstar doorphone.

I don’t know how the EFA works, but I do know that the Venture phones are standard analog without a KSU. My guess would be that you cannot use a Nortel doorphone, but could use any other type that is designed for use with analog lines. Since they are analog you could probably bypass the EFA entirely and use a controller from Viking or the like. Do you have documentation on the EFA? – If so what does it say regarding doorphone connections?
