I have a remote user who is saying that he installed outlook 2003 and when he goes to his tools menu and chooses options and under mail format - that he can not choose word to be the editor. ONLY 'USE word 2003 as editor' is available and it is shaded out. I don't have outlook 2003 on my pc to see it! Help.. does anyone know what i am talking about?
Thank you sooo much

The user probably has to be logged in as administrator to change the settings.

Or his Mail format is wrong.
Go to tools-options
Set the E-Mail format to "Rich text", then you should be able to also select Word as mail editor.

Thanks both.. I will have him try the mail format to rich text and let you know.. He is an admin of the machine ;o)

Don't look any further, you cannot use Word 2000 or Xp with Outlook 2003.
There was already a thread on that before.
