Hi guys,

I am looking for a powerful software to scan the security of computers in our company. But I have no idea on which one to buy. I wish it could repor the vulnerabilities as detail as possible and suggestions on how to fix them. Most improtant of all, it is always up to date!

So, can anybody gimme a list on what might be the most populars in the industry? Hope the price not above $200. We are educational users.

Regards!

If you're using MS networking products, (NT/2000), may I also suggest using the Microsoft Baseline Security Analyzer. It is not perfect, but it will give you good starting point to determine the basic status of your systems... the condition of hotfixes, IIS/SQL/IE holes, password issues, reg settings that may need to be adjusted. Search for more info.

My FAVORITE (personal, that is)is LANguard Network Security Scanner by GFI. Get a FREE 30-day eval at .

HFNetChkLT by is free and is used more for pushing out patches to vulnerable MS OS PC's but is worth having!
