It is my understanding that the CICS has an integrated ATA which can be used for a FAX when calls are setup to go to the built-in auto attendant (at least I think this is right...I've never done it).
We have a CICS (7.x) with a Call Pilot 100. CICS as configured is 8x16, with extensions 221-236.
I have been asked to have all lines answered by the Call Pilot's AA with the FAX machine connected to an ATA and the Call Pilot forwarding faxes to the ATA. (I know, I know, bad idea, I'd much rather keep the FAX line separate, but I don't write the checks.)
Can I do this using the integrated ATA, or will I need an external ATA since I am using a Call Pilot?
If I can use it, what is it's default three digit extension? I'm guessing 237 (or would it be 245 to allow for the 8 ext expansion?).
Any compelling technical arguments for why NOT to do this, if it can be done?

I'd rather learn from other peoples mistakes than have them learn from mine!
