Has anyone used the ALARM setting for wakup calling for their clients in a Motel/Hotel setting?

Can only the recp. set up WU calls or can the guest set them up via a single line analog 2500 set?

I've gotta look it up. Like I said in your other post, it's been a long time since I've had to change much programming at that site.

To your other question- we used Cortelco 2500 sets.

Thanks. I also am talking with DuVoice. they seem to be pretty easy to work with. Sales was very low key no preasure and the cost for this client looks pretty good.

They like the magix enviroment.

I used a CICS with expansion for a 20 bed motel. set up two ways- first the attendent could set the ring from the front desk (used speed dials for this) and had each room 1-20 correspond to 101-120 extensions. then also set alarm as the feature button on 7100 phone sets. they were happy with this.
Another customer had a 4.1 software and they had to have a computer/CTI interface with RSI hotel/smdr package this was a bit glitchy with some lockups but it settled down with age.

dowjonestt- does this answer all your questions? You've got two threads on this subject, and I'm not sure which to follow for you.

ounds good. Were you able to provide a plastic overlay on the set so the guest knows what buttons to touch?

This is a franchise that has plastic overlays on their existing 3500 sets that says things like "Wake Up Call", Messages, etc.

You can get those printed up by either a local printer, include the hotel logo advertisment etc. I think sandman was advertising that in his catalog a while back.
