I have a usb scaner ther system see's it and just lock's up
I shut dwon the system and take the scaner off and the system is fine The first test I can do is to setup the scaner on sceond system and if checks out How can i test the usb port ???? [sig][/sig]
it's probally not your USB port, but your scanner, give us more details, like what is your motherboard, what type of CPU are you running, are you running Win95 OSR2.5 or Win98?

If your running Windows 98 and a AMD chip go to the Microsoft web site in the update page and get the new driver for USB, unless the scanner is messed up that will fix the problem. [sig][/sig]
