Hey folks, a friend of mine just formatted his win ME machine, (I know, ME was a huge mistake) nonetheless, he uses a USB wireless adapter on the Millennium system to connect to his Linksys Access Point. After the format the ME machine can’t find the Access Point, any ideas? Thanks

Ken

First question is, could it find the access point BEFORE the reformat?

Second question - is there a cordless phone in the house? Those usually operate on the same frequency (2.4 ghz) as a wireless router and it can mess up the communication between the two.

Yes, it worked fine. I realize this does not give you much to go on, I haven’t been over to look at the problem but was looking for any ideas. Thanks

Hello Ken,
Probably need to install drivers from the mobo utility cd.

That's what I was thinking. Thanks and have a great day
