usb scanner/camera problems with via chipset win98

My PC keep feezing when i try to scan any image. I have an athlon 1.7 on win98 and i'm totally stuck. These are some details

Have you tried downloading the latest VIA 4-in-1 drivers? Sometimes that can solve problems. If you haven't, try:
