USB ports / COM Ports

My laptop has only USB ports and in setting up TrueSync in Sidekick 98 it asks which COM port to use. How can I change or resolve this? Trying to get my Palm to use the info already in Sidekick using doctorj227's method.

I have a similar problem.
My Franklin Rolodex comes with only a serial connection. My laptop has a USB connection.
Is there a converter?
