Hello,

I am unable to load my flash drive. I get USB Mass Storage Device could not be loaded error.

I have tried to reinstall SP4 and I am running W2K but still not able to get it to work. All my other USB devices work fine.

Does anyone have a clue on what I can try?

Thanks.

Did it ever work? If not are you sure it's not USB2.0 only and you only have USB1.0 or 1.1 ports?

Do you have any drive mappings to f:? The flash drive may be trying to load up as f: by default.

Sorry rake, I mean do you have any network mappings which may be causing the conflict... f: is just an example

Check with the manf of the USB drive and see if you need to have a specific driver loaded.

You might also double check your PC and verify it has all the proper items for USB ports to be working properly..
1.) Enabled in Bios,
2.) That the USB Ports show up in the Control Panel, System, Hardware tab, Device Manager.
Expand it and USB Controller is normally at the
bottom of the hardware listing. If it's got a yellow
mark on it, the USB Controller is missing the proper driver for it. Get the model, etc and find the right driver.
