USB FLASH MEMORY

Has anyone used usb flash memory as a backup medium? In talking to Kingston (one of the manufactures) they informed me that they do not support unix but do support linux and thought that they may be sufficiently similar to work.

What version of SCO?
You can configure USB drives so that they appear similar to a floppy drive on OpenServer 5.0.7.

I am using sco OpenServer 5.0.6. The manual makes it sound like configuring a usb port sets it up as a hard drive. Is there a usb flash drive that is combatible with unix or is this like asking if there is a floppy disk that is compatible with unix?

I used this once on 5.0.7, but considered it mostly a novelty once I found that the data format cannot migrate from UNIX to Windows (like a CD-ROM). There are a couple of Tech notes on SCO's site:
