USB DVD ROM Drive causing a restart 1

If its one of the newer DVD ROM drives, it has an internal battery, that needs to be plugged into a PC USB port to charge it, as the S8300 does not have enough power availble to charge/run the drive.
Try turning on the power switch on the rear, and charge your USB DVD drive for a day or so, see if that helps.
What most likely happened, is you caused a power spike, and then S8300 rebooted...
