Hie to you all.

Please allow me to ask a silly question. Dont shoot me.

What is the use of the USB & WAN ports on the 3300 and how do one use them?

Thank you.

The USB ports are/were used with the internal APC card. Essentially a PC / Server that was installed inside the 3300 for MSL based applications.

The APC is no longer supported. But the USB port does supply power, so you can power a small switch from it - comes in handy sometimes.

The WAN port can be used for routing between the LAN or WAN connected to the WAN port and the LAN ports on the 3300. You can use the 3300 to do the routing between the two.

USB could also be used to power an MP3 player for MOH maybe or charge your phone while you work [smile]
