Hi,

I have an Alcatel Speedtouch ADSL USB modem and Red Hat 7.0. Being a relative newbie to Linux I'm unsure how I can tell my PPP Daemon to use the USB port instead of trying to use a (non-existent) Ethernet and ISDN combo.

I've got the system to recognise the modem, but do not know enough about sysadmin to know which files need changing and what to do with them after I've changed them.

Cheers for any help,
Dave

Unfortunately so.
I've installed the drivers and can read the USB port info that tells me the attached device is an Alcatel Speedtouch USB Modem but I don't know how to tell the system to use the USB port instead of an Ethernet/ISDN card.
