Operating system= Win2K Pro
Mobo = Asus A7V333 has two on board USB2 ports + two USB1 ports.
The two USB2 ports do not work. I downloaded a Win2K patch (4180278.cab) from Microsoft Update page but am unsure of where to place the files;
hccoin.dll
usb2.cat
usb2.inf
usbehci.sys
usbhub20.sys
usbport.sys

I would think they need to go into the system32/drivers folder, but am unsure.

Anyone else had USB2 problems?

Are you on SP3 for Win2K? What did the directions say for the patch you downloaded (what was the MS article)?

Yes I am using SP3. No directions...!!
I have tried installing under new device but it gives an error message saying that the usb2.inf does not contain enough information.

Try disabling the option for USB in Dos mode in the BIOS, worked for me
