Installed Belkin Hi-Speed USB 5-port PCI card in 5 yr old HP computer running Win98SE. Card installation OK according to Device Mgr.
Cold start. Then, when I plug in thumbdrive, Device Mgr shows USB 2.0 Device under "Other Devices"; does not recognize it. Update Driver from internet to no avail.
Where can I get a generic USB driver for Win98SE? USB 1.0 or USB 2.0, I care not as long as I can access the thumbdrive.

You can go to usbman.com and find drivers there.
Also, you can do to driverguide.com.
Also you can go to Belkin website and see if you can get drivers there.

Good advice + great people = tek-tips

Had gone to usbman & driverguide (drivers/all) and was overwhelmed with the cryptic names on the choices. Belkin site seems to be the clearest choice.
Thanks all.
