Description : Need to know if we can run a Crystal report on multiple instances of the same database.

I have developed a report in crystal reports using an instance of a database. Now i need to run the same report on an another instance of the same database.

Will the report be able to change the name of the database dynamically or is there any way to save a report with out the database name and when the report is run, it should know the name of the database and execute the report.

I would also like to know if we can automate the execution of a report. Is there any tool available in the market or is there any other way to automate. The report uses some parameters too.

Someone please help me. It is very urgent.

Thanks for the help.

Yes,

use the

CRDatabasetable.SetLogOnInfo dnsname, databasename, uid,pswd

to changed the data base at runtime. I have got this to work as long as you are linking to tables. I have not been successful getting this to work with stored procedures though.
