URGENT: RMAN backups are failing on Veritas Netbackup version 6

Please I need help with RMAN backups both hot and cold backups are failing on Media Manager, please look below at the errors:

This is error is for production server:

The transaction was aborted.




Another error message is :

ORA-19511: Error received from media manager layer, error text:
VxBSASendData: Failed with error:
Server Status: Communication with the server has not been iniatated or the server status has not been retrieved from the server.



No luck yet with it please advice.

You should probably contact your Oracle DBA and get them to find out what the error means. Are the necessary ports open in order to ensure the backup will work? And have you been able to do oracle backups with the server in the past?
Are you able to do any backups of the server as well to see if it is something perhaps with your oracle RMAN setup.
