Hi.
I'm working with pb8 and SQL Server 2000, but when I install MSDE instead of SQL Server, when executing sqlca.connect I recive the message 'MSS is not supported by your current installation', do anyone know if there is something that MSDE does not install and SQL Server do?.
Thanks.

Are you using ODBC? Is the driver you are using in your connection installed on your machine? Check the Registry:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ODBC\ODBCINST.INI\ODBC Drivers

If it does not have an entry, your logic may have to be modified to match your installed dB's driver.

Almost all "... is not supported by your current installation" kind of messages are related to the SQLCA.dBParm = "Driver=...".

Thanks for your help, I am using the PBMSS8.DLL, it is the Native Driver for MSS and PowerBuilder, the strange is that when I use SQL Server it runs correctly, not with MSDE, here shows "Not Supported..", I was thinking that maybe I was missing a DLL or some files or as I am testing in one Machine only, I Install SQL Server, and then Uninstall and Install MSDE and then the same again. What do you think that can be happening?

Thanks
