My mail server is going to be down tomorrow morning.

I've been told that my Outlook 2003 clients can work offline but my Outlook 2000 clients can't.

Is that really correct ?

Regards,
Julia

Everything can work offline to a degree.... unplug the network cable & find out what happens. If you're reffering to an Exchange Server, it might be slightly more problematic with Outlook 2K, but shouldn't be much worse.

Thank you for your reply.

Sorry I didn't clarify that I was connected to an Exchange 2000 server.

I've since discovered that (as you said) it is much more problematic to do it with Outlook 2000 as it would involve going around to each PC and configuring offline access and waiting hours for the mailbox to download to offline, so it's not possible. My Outlook 2003 users will be okay as theirs is already configured to auto-synchronise offline, but my Office 2000 users will just have to be without Outlook for the afternoon.

Regards,
Julia
